Planning & Development Industry Reference Group

The Planning & Development Industry Reference Group (IRG) provides opportunity for Cairns Regional Council’s Planning, Growth and Sustainability Directorate and the broader development industry to exchange knowledge and ideas that support responsible and sustainable regional growth.

Members of the Planning & Development IRG work collaboratively with the Council to anticipate and address future challenges to growth through the lens of those affected by a decision now, and young people who will inherit our decisions in the future. Members can also provide strategic advice related to delivery of the Council’s planning and development functions.

To support a collaborative working arrangement, Council uses the Planning & Development IRG to provide feedback and improvement opportunities to its valued industry partners.
