Strategic Blueprint & Customer Experience Framework
We are working to provide the best development services in Queensland. To achieve this, we have developed this Customer Experience Framework and a range of strategies to optimise the level of service provided to our community.
Planning & Development Industry Reference Group
The Planning and Development Industry Reference Group works collaboratively on long-term strategic planning for the region and strategic advice about planning and development functions.
Development & Planning Industry Initiative
The Industry Initiative is a collective of local development, building, planning, engineering and design professionals. It focuses on quality development outcomes and appropriate growth across the Cairns region.
Regional Development Updates
We issue regular industry alerts from the Development, Planning and Property Branch to improve information sharing between Council and the various industry sectors we work with on a day-to-day basis.
Development enquiries
There are a number of ways to gain advice about planning and development in Cairns. You can use our online tools and information, talk to a planner, request a pre-lodgement meeting or seek formal pre-lodgement advice.
Development & Planning industry concierge
Our Industry Concierge aims to support Industry members throughout the development application process: from pre-lodgement to post-approval. These services can involve a range of meetings in which applicants will work together with Council officers during the development process.
