Landscape plan endorsement and practical completion

You must apply for Landscape Plan Endorsement and obtain endorsement of the plan in accordance the relevant conditions of the parent approval. The Landscape Plan Endorsement process is usually managed by your representative, a Landscape Architect or Landscape Designer.

Your representative – Landscape Architect, Landscape Designer or Landscaping Contractor – must contact us on completion of the Endorsed Landscaping works, to provide ‘As Constructed’ plans and request a Landscaping Practical Completion Inspection.

The Landscaping Practical Completion inspection must occur and be approved a minimum 13 weeks prior to Final Works Acceptance Inspection.

The Landscaping Practical Completion inspection ensures that the landscaping of future Council assets is satisfactory i.e., endorsed street tree species are planted in accordance with the FNQROC setback requirements, resulting in landscaping that promotes the character of Cairns as a tropical environment, fit for purpose.
