Water service interruptions
Current planned and unplanned water outages are shown below. Once water supply has been restored, the outage will be removed from this list.
Unplanned water supply outages usually occur due to a leak or burst in a water main. In some cases, we need to temporarily disconnect the water supply to surrounding areas so the pipe can be repaired.
Planned water supply outages usually occur due to our water main replacement program. In some cases, we need to temporarily disconnect the water supply to surrounding areas so the pipe can be installed or reconnected. Residents and businesses are notified via a flyer delivered to their letterbox.
* times indicated are approximate only and subject to change due to specific job requirements.
Hot water systems
Hot water systems should not be operated during water outages and should be turned off to avoid possible damage.
After water supply is resumed
When the water is reconnected, some air and debris may enter the pipes. The water may appear milky in colour however, it is safe for use. We encourage customers to run an outside tap for a few minutes until the water runs clear.
If your water supply does not resume, low pressure is experienced, or the water remains discoloured after some time, please contact Council’s Call Centre on telephone 1300 69 22 47 to report the fault.
