Waste & Recycling in business
Recycling in the workplace is not only good for the environment but also makes good business sense. With the commencement of the QLD Government Waste Levy (as of July 1, 2019) all waste sent to landfill now attracts an additional fee, starting at $85 per tonne. To reduce business costs, participating in a sustainable solution such as recycling is one of the easiest and most powerful ways to start!
If your business does not have a recycling program, now is the time to consider it. Recycling can reduce costs, save energy, resources and avoid sending material to landfill.
What are co-mingled recyclables?
Co-mingled recyclables means that you can put paper, cardboard, aluminium and steel cans, plastics and glass bottles and jars into your business recycling bin, just the same as at home.
A co-mingled recycling bin for your business will save time by putting all your recycling into one bin, reducing clutter of bins, the carbon footprint of your business and waste to landfill.
There are a number of bin sizes available and services can be weekly or fortnightly depending on your business's needs.
Fees are very competitive and invoiced annually before the service is installed.
| BIN OPTIONS | *RATE PER PICK-UP (INCLUDING GST) |
|---|---|
| 240 Litre | $7.50 |
| 1m3 | $12.00 |
| 1.5m3 | $21.00 |
| 3m3 | $33.50 |
Order a recycling bin today and let your customers know that your business cares about the environment.
To request a co-mingled recycling collection for your business, download and complete the Business Recycling Application form. Send the completed form to the email address specified at the bottom of the form.
