This event marks the final day of the four-week No Empty Bowls campaign. Community members are invited to meet animals available for adoption from six Cairns animal welfare organisations, including YAPS, Adopt Me Kittens, 4 the Love of Cats, Stray to Stay, Cairns Animal Rescue Inc, and Bush Pups.

Representatives from each organisation will be on site, along with puppies and cats seeking their forever homes. The Adoption Day provides an opportunity to learn more about local animal welfare groups and meet animals ready for adoption.

The event will be held outside Woolworths at Mt Sheridan Plaza. It is also the final day for visitors to contribute to the No Empty Bowls campaign by donating to one or more of the participating animal welfare organisations. Donation bins will be available from 26 September to 24 October.
