As you get older, fewer and fewer things seem new to you - except in art. Making art is a challenge that never gives way and never runs out of things to discover. When you’re making art, you are ten again.

This exhibition celebrates the accelerating development of practice that can occur in artists after a long life of concentrating on other things. Each of the seven artists featured in this exhibition is finding life renewed by art.

Anne says, “You can’t work out how art works. It’s not an algorithm. It’s brain training.”

Ronald says, “At this age, as when you’re ten, you don’t take things so seriously. You don’t get frustrated making art.”

Hendrick says, “Art is doing what comes naturally”

Dorte says, “Art is continuing discovery and stimulation.”

Susan says, “I just love to be creative and make things. I love to share my story.”

Anna says, “I love the freedom my Art conveys, emotions, ideas, thoughts that words cannot express.”

Brenda says, “Art is my life, my lover, my partner, my cat and my dog."
