Our commitment

Council is responsible for, and committed to, delivering drinking water, wastewater, recycled water and waste services to over 160,000 customers. Water and wastewater assets make up approximately 40% of Council's asset base with a total value of approximately $2 billion.

Our team provides 24 hour support, 365 days of the year across our network of assets. These include:

  • 1 dam
  • 9 river intakes
  • 2 treatment plants
  • 68 reservoirs
  • 49 water pump stations
  • 6 wastewater treatment plants
  • 180 wastewater pump stations
  • 23,611 manholes
  • 3300 km of pipes
