Pay parking fines
You can pay your parking fine:
- Online by credit card
- In person at Council's customer service centre
- By mail
- In person, by phone or online via Australia Post
Additional fees
If you do not pay your parking fee on time you will be sent a reminder notice. There is a standard late fee of $18.50, although this may be higher if you are registered in another state or territory.
If you have not settled your infringement within 56 days, the matter will be referred to SPER (State Penalties Enforcement Register) with additional costs.
Pay via our Online Self Service with your Visa, Mastercard or American Express.
Use your infringement number as the reference number.
Credit card payments are processed through the secure, PCIDSS- compliant BPoint platform. As part of the payment process, you will be directed to a BPoint page to enter your credit card details.
You can pay in person at Council's Spence Street Customer Service Centre, 119-145 Spence Street, Cairns.
- Our Centre is open 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday (closed on public holidays).
- We accept cash, cheque, EFTPOS, Visa, Mastercard, American Express or money order. Change will not be given on cheques or money orders.

Note: Please make payment a minimum of 2-3 days before the due date and allow time for mail delivery.
You can pay in person at more than 3,200 Australia Post outlets, over the counter or via their self-service terminals.
You can pay by phone 13 18 16* and quote your Billpay code and reference number on the front of the Parking Infringement notice (Visa and MasterCard accepted)
