Information on Council's forms, permits and grants.

Many public spaces across Cairns are available for use for events and activities such as weddings, ceremonies, meetings, parties and more. You can apply online to hold an event at one of our parks, gardens, reserves, beaches, community halls or sporting fields.

Online Self Service

There's a wide range of Council business you can do online via our Online Self Service portal including: registering your pet; paying a parking fine or requesting a parking permit; lodging or searching for a Development Application; and paying your rates and water bills.

Payments

Council offers a variety of payment options including online payments, Bpay, at Australia Post, by mail or in person. Direct debit is offered for rates and water usage accounts only.

Rates, water billing, fees & charges

Council's rates, water billing, fees and commercial charges are set each financial year.

Report a problem

You can report a non-urgent problem, any time, using this online form. For urgent matters, such as water main breaks or dog attacks, call Council on 1300 69 22 47.
