Councillor Anna Middleton

Councillor Anna Middleton was elected the Division 7 Councillor at the 2024 local government elections. She also represents Council on the Reef Guardian Council Program Steering Committee.

Cr Anna has a strong sense of community and is well-known for supporting and volunteering for sports, schools, arts, environment and community groups. She prides herself on engagement, advocacy and action.

Trained as a physiotherapist and with 30 years of experience in both private and public sectors, she has had a strong sense of care and connection to Cairns’ community.

From a farming background and being a small business owner, she has developed a pragmatic approach that is people centred and fiscally sensible.

Cr Anna is a board member for Cairns Art Gallery, Cairns Art Gallery Foundation and Edge Hill State School. She is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
