The Russell Street Egrets was formed in late 2020 to maintain and expand a previously planted site in the Russell Street Conservation Park.

Activities include removal of invasive grass and vine species, planting trees and rubbish clean-up. The work done at this site has allowed native species to re-establish themselves as well as beautify a previously neglected area.

The Egrets group volunteers on Mondays between 9am and noon.
