Local parks & reserves
The Green Space Our Place program also includes resident volunteers working in parks, reserves and waterways.
Activities include:
- General gardening
- Planting trees
- Weed eradication
- Rubbish clean-ups and
- Being the ‘eyes and ears’ for local parks.
This program connects people within the community.
Council has governance procedures in place with all participants registered as volunteers and given a safety induction and horticultural guidance before taking part in any activity.
