About Cr Cathy Zeiger

Cathy Zeiger is the re-elected Councillor for Division 3, a diverse area that encompasses Bayview Heights, Mount Sheridan (Forest Gardens), White Rock and Woree.

Cathy has lived in Cairns for over 40 years and during this time, she has had her own businesses, is a veterinary nurse, has worked many years with youth in schools and in various not-for-profit community service sectors. Cathy is currently the Director of BIG Boldlyigo Inc, a charity providing education, support and training for children and women, located in Kenya.

Her passion is to be able to facilitate positive improvements in people, their surroundings and find ‘big picture’ solutions to challenges that occur both in her work locally in Division 3, the broader Cairns community and various philanthropic projects.
