Traffic changes to support 7Cairns Marathon Festival

Residents are advised there will be temporary road closures on Sunday 12 July associated with the 7Cairns Marathon Festival.

These include the following road closures:

• Esplanade, Spence St to Mckenzie St, 5.00am to 11.30am
• Esplanade, Mckenzie St to Lily St, 5.00am to 11.00am
• Lily St, Esplanade to Sheridan St, 5.00am to 11.00am
• Lake St, Airport Ave to Mckenzie St, 5.00am to 11.00am

The shared path on the Esplanade, between Smith St and Grove St, will also be closed to the public on Sunday from 5.00am to 12.00pm.

There are also some changes to car parking on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 July. The following areas of the Cairns Esplanade will be closed for car parking from 7.00am on Saturday until 12.00pm the following day on Sunday:

• Spence St to Shields St
• Wharf St to Aplin St
• Kerwin St to the Helipad
• Hospital Exit to Charles St

The Southern Esplanade (Lagoon) car park remains open.
