How do you library? We want to know
Published: 28th August 2026. (Note: information was correct at date of publication but may have since been changed or superseded.)
Cairns Libraries is inviting the community to have its say on the future of library services.
Council wants to hear directly from the community about what they value most and what they would like to see in the years ahead.
The Cairns Libraries Community Survey will help guide future planning, ensuring services, programs and facilities continue to meet the changing needs of residents of all ages.
Whether you're a regular visitor, use the library's online services, attend events, or haven't visited in a while, your feedback is valuable.
What are some of questions and topics?
- How often you use library services
- Your satisfaction with current services
- Why you use (or don’t use) the library
- Barriers that make participation difficult
- What future services or improvements you would value
The survey is quick and easy to complete, and responses will help inform decisions about how library services are delivered in the future.
To have your say, visit Cairns Libraries Community Engagement Survey | Cairns Regional Council. The survey closes 4 September 2026.
