The Arrows
The popular Red Arrow, Blue Arrow, Green Arrow and Yellow Arrow walking tracks wind through Mt Whitfield Conservation Park, behind the Cairns Botanic Gardens in Edge Hill. The Park is a 300ha forested mountain range, home to rainforest, eucalyptus and grasslands, and the very popular Red, Blue and Green Arrow walking tracks. Wangetti Trail is a Queensland Government initiative led by Department of Innovation and Tourism Industry Development. Wangetti Trail will be one of Australia’s leading adventure based ecotourism experiences, attracting visitors on an international scale. The trail will enhance conservation and protection while delivering environmental, social and economic benefits to local communities and Queensland.
On completion, the Wangetti Trail will stretch approximately 94 kilometres and is expected to be ‘Grade 3’ (medium difficulty) for walkers and ‘More Difficult’ for mountain bikers, providing an accessible but challenging offering for visitors.
