Young Artist Call Out
Participate in the Dive Deep Down exhibition curated by Sorami Ochi
Calling Young Artists
About the exhibition:
We are seeking expressions of interest from kindergarten and primary school aged children living in Far North Queensland who wish to participate in an exhibition titled Dive Deep Down, curated by Sorami Ochi.
Interested artists are asked to create an original artwork that represents the deep ocean and respond to - What do you imagine you will find if you explore beneath the surface and swim through the unseen layers of the ocean to uncover mysterious marine life, hidden treasures, and curiosities?
This is an exciting opportunity for young artists to have their work professionally exhibited at an art gallery and receive public recognition for their skills and creativity.
Exhibition schedule:
Applications Due: 11:59pm, Wed 1 Apr 2026
Exhibition: Fri 8 to Sun 17 May 2026
Launch: 5.30pm, Friday 8 May 2026
The exhibition will be launched to coincide with the Cairns Children’s Festival in May 2026 at Tanks Arts Centre.
