Creation Station: The Teddy Bear Rescue by Amber Grossmann

Date: Sunday 17 May
Times: 9.00am - 2.00pm
Location: Cairns Botanic Gardens - Lawn Opposite Gondwanan Walk

Cost: Free

We need YOU! Join Far North Queensland’s Teddy Bear Rescue and become an Official Certified Bear Hero.

Pop in, choose a preloved teddy bear or bring your own, and learn simple age-appropriate repair tricks with our friendly team. Patch up tears, mend well-loved seams and give your furry friend a brand-new lease on life while helping keep precious teddy bears out of landfill. A stitch in time saves nine.

Once your bear is patch-tastic, settle in at the Teddy Bear Picnic and celebrate with your newest family member.

Cairns is proud to have more than 20 secondhand stores across the region, many filled with cuddly companions just waiting for a new forever home. Your rescue mission helps reduce waste while spreading a whole lot of love.

Every bear deserves a second chance, and every hero’s journey begins with a single stitch.
