Film buffs - it’s time for screenPLAY!

Step into a cinematic adventure showcasing the freshest creations from Cairns’ rising young filmmakers.

These short films are dreamed up, scripted and brought to life by the wildly imaginative minds of local kids and trust us, they don’t hold back. From bold storylines to brilliant green screen wizardry, this is movie magic in its most joyful form.

Duck out of the tropical sun and let yourself be transported. Aliens, superheroes, underwater worlds, epic quests, you never quite know what’s coming next… and that’s half the fun.

Created and produced through the Tanks Arts Centre School Holiday Green Screen Filmmaking Workshops, the 2026 screenPLAY films celebrate young creators bringing big ideas to life through even bigger imaginations.

Lights down. Aircon on. Volume up. Let the show begin!
