You can also donate:

  • Over the counter with cash, credit card, cheque or money order at Council's customer service offices
  • Posting a cheque or money order to Council at PO Box 359 Cairns QLD 4870. All cheques should be made to the Mayor's Christmas Cheer Appeal

Please note that NO FOOD OR TOYS can be accepted for the Mayor's Christmas Charity.


Your donation is tax deductible

Donations over $2 towards the Mayor’s Christmas Charity are tax-deductible. This means your contribution not only helps provide food hampers and essential items to local families and senior community members in need but may also be claimed as a deduction on your income tax.

Note: Any donations received after 1 December each year will be added to the following year's Mayor's Christmas Charity target.
