Step into the forest with The Gruffalo!
Cairns Libraries are popping up at the Children’s Festival and bringing the Gruffalo to life! Packed with twists, turns, and surprises, follow the clever little mouse, outsmart the sneaky fox, owl, and snake, and discover if the Gruffalo is really lurking nearby…
Before you set off, visit our pop-up library space to make your own Gruffalo headband, play Pin the Wart on the Gruffalo and take part in our scavenger hunt for a chance to win a Gruffalo prize pack!

First 5 Forever, a Queensland Government initiative, brings this magical forest adventure to life.
