Sport, recreation & parks

Work is now underway on the exciting upgrade that will transform Jeff Pezzutti Park, Woree into a vibrant recreation precinct that puts local families and community members first.

It includes:

  • Skate park
  • New playground with shade sail
  • Public toilet block with accessible facilities
  • New pathways and landscaping
  • Safety improvements, shelters and seating

These new and upgraded inclusive activity areas are designed to bring people together, support active lifestyles and create a welcoming destination for one of the most diverse and rapidly growing communities in Cairns.

Construction is now underway with completion expected in May 2027.
