Weedbusters was formed in 2018 to assist with weed control on the Mt Whitfield range, Cairns Botanic Gardens rainforest boardwalk area and Green Space Our Place revegetation sites.
Under licenced supervision, our volunteers learn a variety of herbicide treatments to control general weeds and more aggressive weed species such as Thunbergia grandiflora.
The Weedbuster volunteer groups meets on Tuesdays between 9am and noon.
