Saltwater Creek Salties
STATUS: The Salties program is suspended currently due to operational demands. Stay tuned for more information.
Saltwater Creek Salties was formed in mid-2016 to reveg and weed the Russell Street swamp along Saltwater Creek.
The neighbouring residents were very pleased to see this area transformed from a weedy and heavily littered area to a newly planted and mulched landscape.
Since 2017 the ‘Salties’ have transformed the base of Mt Whitfield at the Yellow Arrow trail head with over 1500 trees planted as part of an ongoing weekly weeding maintenance plan.
The Salties group volunteers on Friday mornings from 9am to noon.
