Cairns Multicultural Month

Cairns Multicultural Month is the perfect time to acknowledge and celebrate that, while we come from different places and cultures, we all contribute to making Cairns a wonderful place to live. Multicultural month occurs August each year in line with the Queensland Government’s Multicultural Queensland Month.
Moving Picture Night - Saturday 9th August
Join us in celebrating the diversity of Cairns as we gather for a family movie night at Harald Falge Park to celebrate Multicultural Month. This event is delivered by Cairns Regional Council in a partnership between our Community Development and Creative Life teams, as part of the Moving Picture Nights Series.
The event kicks off at 5pm with children’s activities provided by Cairns Safer Streets, free sausage sizzle, and music and dance performances from local multicultural groups, including Peruvian musicians in theme with the movie.
Lay out your picnic blanket, sit back and relax. The movie will begin at 6.45pm, screening Paddington in Peru.
