Christmas Tree Light-up

Celebrate the magic of the festive season at the Christmas Tree Light Up! Gather with family and friends as the city’s giant Christmas tree is officially switched on, marking the start of the Christmas season in Cairns. Enjoy festive performances from talented local entertainers, soak up the cheerful atmosphere, and keep an eye out for a special appearance from Santa himself.

New this year, explore Christmas Light Lane, an enchanting waterfront lighting experience stretching from Lagoon Plaza towards the Eastern Event Lawn. Featuring dazzling light displays, festive music, interactive installations and plenty of photo opportunities, Christmas Light Lane will transform the Cairns Esplanade into a wonderland of Christmas cheer. Don't miss this magical evening as the community comes together to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year.
