Preparing for a changing climate

As part of its Climate Change Strategy 2030, Cairns Regional Council has committed to prepare Council and the community to adapt and prosper in a changing climate.

Image shows a list of climate change impacts expected to be experienced in Far North Queensland: Higher temperatures, rising sea level, hotter and more frequent hot days, more frequent sea level extremes, more intense downpours, warmer and more acidic seas, less frequent but more intense tropical cyclones.
