It's all happening at the site of what will be the new Cairns Performing Arts Centre! The tower crane is in action from today. Standing 45.5m tall with a 74m beam, the crane was constructed overnight last night so it wouldn't interfere with the airport flight path. Around 200 people have worked on the project so far, with many more expected over the next 18 months. Pictured are Mayor Bob Manning and Barry Smith from FKG Group.
