Australian Watercolour Muster 2023

A Bowl of Porridge, watercolour by Michael Solovyev

When: Thursday 7 September  – Saturday 28 October 2023

Launch: 5pm Friday 8 September

The Australian Watercolour Muster features an exhibition of watercolour paintings by artists from around the nation and a six-day public program of workshops and events.

The goal of the Australian Watercolour Muster is to create a broader platform for Australian artists to engage with the international arts community, and specifically for the watercolour community to take their work into new and creative fields of endeavour, creating opportunities to share studios and exhibitions spaces where possible in this world.

The Australian Watercolour Muster is part of a network from over 80 countries - engaged and linked together via the FabrianoInAcquarello - Italy Art Symposium, held annually in Italy over the last 14 years. This year, the curator of FabrianoInAcquarello, Anna Massinissa, will join us in Tropical North Queensland and will be running two workshops.
