Koahlition Reggae Band is a multicultural band from Far North Queensland. The 6/7 piece band is ever evolving, and in their music, portray the diversity of the Far North. The original music of Koahlition can be described as roots, rock and reggae with a quirky Aussie twang and a South Pacific breeze.

With influences from mainland Australia, the Torres Strait and P.N.G, growing up in and around the Far North and a love for reggae music the band members have come together as a “Koahlition” spreading their music of positive vibes interwoven with ideas of social conscience. The band also covers songs by classic Reggae and Ska legends of Jamaica including Bob Marley, Jimmy Cliffe, Toots Hibbert and Peter Tosh.

The family oriented band consists of songwriter Rohan Rusch who fronts up on guitar and lead vocal. His partner Tracy adds some lush harmonies and lead vocals with their son Adric on bass. Hailing from Saibai Island in the Torres Strait is guitar wizard Moses Warusam, a talented and devoted lead guitarist and songwriter in his own right. Keysie Paul Barton rounds off the band nicely adding keyboard reggae components to compliment the sound. The band often has invited guests to add vocal harmonies and guest singers and musicians to enjoy the music with.

The band are a favourite on the Far North Queensland Festival scene and are well known for popular songs "Angry Man" and "Under The Sun" from their debut album of the same name produced by Ben Hakalitz in 2013. Koahlition have recently been back into creative mode and are work shopping new compositions to be recorded in 2018.
