Sustainable tourism funding for Cairns and FNQ

While tourism is a global export business with enormous potential, competition is fierce and Cairns and Tropical North Queensland (TNQ) is at risk of being left behind. Cairns Regional Council is advocating for the means to deliver a sustained increase in funding for tourism through a modest visitor levy. Paid for by the visitor, these funds would go directly back into our tourism sector driving more visitors, more spending and more jobs. More background and information is in the Sustainable Tourism Funding for Cairns and TTNQ document.
