Council advises that the Smithfield Transfer Station will reopen tomorrow (Saturday 23 December), operating under normal hours from 8.30am to 5.15pm.
Residents are asked not to dispose of green waste if possible as the transfer station is close to capacity.
A free green waste disposal period will be held at all Council waste transfer stations from the 6 to 14 January 2024.
Council asks people using the waste transfer stations to be patient as there may be longer than usual wait times.
Kerbside rubbish collections
Regular kerbside rubbish and recycling collections have resumed, please have your bins out by 6am.
Residents are encouraged to contact Council’s customer service on 1300 69 22 47 to report fallen debris on footpaths and roads. Flood-impacted areas will be prioritised.
