Remediation works on Esplanade eastern pier

Remediation works to the support structures (piles) of the eastern pier on the Cairns Esplanade (next to the helicopter pad) begin on Monday 30 October.
The works are expected to take two months to complete and will require the closure of the adjacent footpath to stop public access.
Works will include water blasting, concrete repairs, new steel plates and supports, and corrosion control.
The public is asked to follow any directions and detours as signed.
Council apologises for any inconvenience.
