CAIRNS FESTIVAL PROGRAM LAUNCH WINDS UP THE PARTY TIME CLOCK

The 2023 Cairns Festival program was officially launched at Crystalbrook Flynn Whiskey and Wine Bar last night with creatives, VIPs and sponsors among more than 50 guests fuelling the excitement marking the 61st festival event.

The full-colour program is the definitive guide to all things Cairns Festival with inside information on performances and exhibitions, dates and times across all the city-wide venues.

The 61st Cairns Festival kicks off on Friday, August 25 at the Court House Gallery cultural precinct Festival HQ in Abbott Street with a combined Indigenous traditional owner healing smoking ceremony with song and dance at 4.30pm, and runs through until Sunday, September 3.

Festival highlights include the Grand Parade and fireworks along the Esplanade on Saturday, August 26, the Jungle Giants music feast at Munro Martin Parklands, the world premiere of Gulgi-Barra dance work, a festival-long offering of free music and shows at the Court House Festival HQ, and the Collins Avenue Father’s Day fiesta.
