Festival HQ | Court House Gallery
38 Abbott Street, Cairns
Court House Gallery is an art gallery and performance space in the centre of the city which is transformed into Festival HQ for the duration of Cairns Festival.
Festival HQ is a base for all our helpful volunteers so you can pop down throughout with any festival-related questions.
In addition to the amazing exhibitions on display inside, there will also be live music out on the lawn, roving performances, photo opps and a circus tent with wacky comedians, Bolster & Lee, in The Knock 'Em Downs.

As Festival HQ, Court House Gallery will open with extended trading hours as below:
- Friday 25 August – 10am to 9pm
- Saturday 26 August – 10am to 4pm
- Sunday 27 August – 10am to 8pm
- Monday 28 August – 10am to 9pm
- Tuesday 29 August – 10am to 9pm
- Wednesday 30 August – 10am to 9pm
- Thursday 31 August – 10am to 9pm
- Friday 1 September – 10am to 9pm
- Saturday 2 September – 10am to 9pm
- Sunday 3 September – 10am to 8pm
Accessibility
Court House Gallery has two ramps to access the venue, with level access throughout the inside and front of the building. There is an accessible and ambulant toilet inside the building which will be available during all Cairns Festival performances. There is no dedicated parking available at the Court House the access map below gives details of the parking available as well as drop off areas.
