Ticketlink is the only authorised ticket seller for Council venues including Tanks Arts Centre, Cairns Performing Arts Centre, Munro Martin Parklands and other events and venues in Cairns. Trusted since 1995, Ticketlink is a local ticketing service operated by the Cairns Regional Council and provides an in-person and telephone service, 6 days a week.
Tickets purchased from unauthorised sales channels may result in you being denied entry into one of our venues. Stay safe online and only purchase through authorised ticket sellers like Ticketlink. That way you know you are guaranteed entry and can enjoy the event.

Due to ongoing issues with ticket fraud, we regret that we currently do not accept international credit card payment online. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will reserve your tickets until you arrive in Cairns. International credit cards are accepted over the phone and in person at the box office.
Tickets are sold by Ticketlink as agent for and on behalf of “The Presenter” (the party who presents the event, including a promoter or producer or venue as the case may be, details of which are available from Ticketlink, and whose name may appear on the front of the ticket), and subject to terms and conditions. If collecting your tickets from the venue prior to the show, you should pick up your tickets at least half an hour before the show is due to start. During this time the box office will only manage enquiries regarding the immediate performance. No ticket sales for other events can be made at this time

Tickets for a small number of events have to be sent by registered rather than standard mail. There is an additional charge for this service
Event Ratings generally give an indication of the suitability of events for different age groups. However, please note that an MA15+ or R rating is not necessarily given because of the content of the event but because of liquor licensing requirements.

Ticketlink does not set the ticket refund and exchange policy for events.
Ticket refunds and exchanges are at the discretion of the event promoter. Therefore some events will allow refunds/exchanges and some will not. Please check with ticket office staff when purchasing your tickets
When refunds are permitted, or in the event of the cancellation of a performance, monies will only be refunded to the credit card or eftpos card that was originally used to purchase the ticket/s. When the purchase method was cash, monies will be refunded to the ticket purchaser only on presentation of valid ID.
Where tickets are purchased through a third party authorised agent or authorised point of sale (not purchased directly through Ticketlink), monies will be refunded to the agent. It is the agent’s responsibility to return these monies to their customers.
Ticketlink is a business, and like any business it needs to charge for its services.There are no hidden fees, you only ever pay the advertised price.
All tickets purchased through Ticketlink incur a booking fee, regardless of the method used to make the purchase. Internet, counter and phone sales all incur a booking fee of 5% of the ticket price, capped at $2 per ticket. This fee is included in the advertised price.
If an event promoter allows tickets to be refunded or exchanged a $2.20 per ticket fee applies.
When available, lost ticket reissue incurs a fee of $1.10 per ticket. Tickets can only be reissued for events where patrons have been allocated a numbered seat or table. Tickets cannot be reissued for general admission or non-allocated seating events.

You may change the number of people attending until the time of payment. If you have extra seats on the day of the performance we encourage you to invite other parents and family members to fill the seats you have paid for.
When booking seats you will be given a payment date. Failure to make payment by the due date could result in your seats being forfeited.
Tickets are not issued for school groups. Seated events are managed by the ushers according to a seating plan prepared by Ticketlink staff. If you would particularly like tickets to be printed for your students, please contact Ticketlink by phone or email.

Education kits can be downloaded free of charge from the event page when available.
You can choose your own seats when booking online, by phone or in person at the Ticketlink box office or agency.
Event seating plans are available on each website event page or at the Ticketlink office. Seating plans can also be emailed to you on request.
If you do not wish to choose your own seats when booking online select the 'choose the best seats for me' option. You will always be allocated the best available seating and your group will not be split.
No, Ticketlink does not hold tickets without payment. Tickets must be paid in full at the time of the booking. The only exception is group or school bookings. If you are making a group booking for 10 or more people we will put your seats on hold for a short time to allow you to collect payment from your group. Read more about making a group booking.
If you require specific seating or need to remain in a wheelchair for the duration of a performance, please let our box office staff know at the time of booking in person or by telephone on 1300 855 835. Ticketlink staff will ensure that you have the best seating arrangements for your needs in the venue you will be attending, and advise on parking and access to the venue.
If you have difficulty walking up stairs, most venues can be accessed at street level or have access ramps. However, some areas of seating within a venue may not have suitable access. Ticket office staff can advise you of the best seats to suit your needs.
Many events ticketed by Ticketlink support the Queensland Government's Companion Card Program which promotes fair ticketing for people who have a disability and a lifelong need for 'attendant care support' to attend venues and activities.
Munro Martin Parklands and Tanks Arts Centre are participating businesses, and nearly all events and performances held at these venues accept the Companion Card.
Other events ticketed by Ticketlink may accept the Companion Card, at the discretion of the event promoter.
Look for 'Companion Card accepted' on our event pages or check with our staff to determine if the card will be accepted for the event you want to attend.
How it works
Cardholders present their card when purchasing tickets at participating businesses and receive a free ticket to be used by their companion.
Businesses affiliated with the program absorb the costs associated with the companion ticket
The companion ticket is exempt from all booking fees
The program is not a discount scheme, concession or benefit.
Providing your personal information can be helpful for a number of reasons:
If your tickets are stolen/lost we can trace them to you and reissue the ticket if you are attending an event with allocated seating (tickets can not be reissued for general admission or events with non-allocated seating)
If an error occurs that we were unaware of at the time of sale we can correct it
If we need to change your seating, we can contact you before the performance, ensuring a hassle-free event for all
If a show is cancelled we are able to contact you regarding your refund.
Although these occurrences are rare they do happen and it does help us to serve you better.
And, if you have give us permission to do so, we can send you information on events and special offers.
Most venues do not have specific dress codes but footwear is usually a requirement for health and safety reasons. For most events smart casual is fine, but please feel free to dress up if you would like to. Certain events, such as formal balls, may have specific dress codes. This information will be detailed on the event page.
This will depend on the suitability of the event for children. Event ratings and content are listed on the specific event page. If a baby or young child disrupts a performance you may be asked to leave.
This will depend on the event. Generally bottled water is fine. Some venues may restrict food to items sold at the venue. If there are restrictions these will usually be listed on the specific event page.
When should I arrive?
Events start promptly at the time stated on your ticket. Make sure you leave plenty of time to park your car, walk to the venue and find your seat (if you are attending a seated venue).
A good rule of thumb is to arrive 20 to 30 minutes prior to the start time on your ticket. Several venues have licensed bars where you can purchase drinks prior to the performance or during intervals.
What happens if I'm running late?
For seated events, you will be asked to wait in the foyer or at the entrance of the venue until a suitable break in the performance. This is for safety reasons and to cause as little disruption as possible to the performers and other patrons. For general admission events, you may enter at any time.
