Groove Terminator and Soul Song Choir

In a Cairns Festival premier Groove Terminator is joining forces with local Soul Song Choir for a unique one-off performance. Get ready to sing and dance along!

Simon "Groove Terminator" Lewicki stands as a trailblazer in Australia's music scene, celebrated as one of the country's pioneering DJs and music industry figures for over three decades. Breaking ground as the first DJ signed to a major label, Simon achieved international acclaim with his breakout single "One More Time (The Sunshine Song)", a Big Beat anthem that soared into the top 20 charts in Australia and France. Simultaneously, under his disco-tinged alias Chili HiFly, Simon topped the Australian and US Billboard dance charts with the #1 hit "Is It Love" in 2001, a milestone that showcased his influence in catapulting Antipodean talent onto the global stage.

The ARIA award nominee has recently collaborated with 5-time Grammy winners Soweto Gospel Choir on their celebrated show "History Of House".

Soul Song Choir

Soul Song Choirs is a network of pop community choirs that create accessible, judgement free spaces for anyone to come and find or lose themselves in the music.

Soul Song is known for working hard and playing harder. They are committed to community building and, while they work hard to create the best sound they can, they will always prioritise the process over the product. Their aim is to bring people together from all levels of musical experience and ability for a couple of hours to make music together and leave with a smile on their face, recharged and ready to go for the rest of the week ahead.
