VOICES by Pulsing Heart

VOICES celebrates connection and play through music. Spin a tube to bring this light and sound sculpture to life. With all fifty tubes spinning, hear the Sydney Philharmonia Choirs echo through your city street.

VOICES is activated through audience participation. Fifty translucent tubes create an ovular wall of light and sound. As each tube spins, a corresponding voice fades in, it’s volume correlating with the increasing height of an internal light. As layers are added, the sound and lightscape increase in intensity until the choir is heard in its entirety.

VOICES invites diverse communities to gather, participate and connect. Multi sensory output, step free physical access and intuitive design ensures VOICES is an experience for all people, regardless of age, ability, culture or socio-economic background. Allowing participation from upwards of 100 people simultaneously, VOICES eliminates lines and promises an aspirational shared experience.
