In general, Karneval is used in mid and northern Germany (except in Mainz), with Fasching primarily used in southern Germany.
Carnival is the chance to get wild before going pious during Lent. It usually involves a public celebration of parades, costumes, and balls. In Cologne it is known as the fifth season when the Narren (fools) take over the running of the city and everyone goes a little bit crazy. So why should it be any different in the German Club Cairns?
To mark Karneval this year, The German Club is having a huge party and are inviting the public to dress up in costume and join in the fun.
As usual, the kitchen will have its traditional menu which receives rave reviews every week. The kitchen will feature Krapfen made especially for the event which is a traditional treat at Karneval!
Music and dancing after dinner will be sure to create a unique party atmosphere.Add to my calendar
