City Faces of 100 Years is a photographic and journalistic project showcasing the portraits and stories of 100 Cairns residents aged 1 to 100, one from every year.

An emerging artist, Priscilla Ong recently obtained the Regional Arts Development Fund Grant to undertake this exhibition project. It aims to capture the concepts of identity and belonging in the stories and images of 100 Cairns locals of different ethnic groups.

About the artist

Priscilla Ong is a mixed media artist and photographer based in Cairns. Her street art style takes on a wide range of forms to produce unique, sometimes fantastical, responses to her environments. Priscilla grew up in Singapore and currently resides in Australia. She travels widely and has spent time in Europe, the US, and various parts of Southeast Asia.

She has exhibited in both Australia and Germany. She has worked with disadvantaged young people as well as migrants, and is an active member of the Cairns community.
