Bus stop improvements are planned for the Trinity Beach Road stop, near Petersen Street.

These improvements are part of a broader Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) Compliance Program of Works across the Cairns region to improve accessibility for patrons using the bus service.

The changes involve constructing a new concrete boarding point, installing signage and line marking to delineate the bus zone.

Works are programmed to start on MONDAY 11 JANUARY 2021, weather permitting, between the hours of 7.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday (Saturdays if required).

During works there may be disruptions such as noise and dust however, these will be kept to a minimum. It is anticipated that works will take approximately 4 weeks to complete.

Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and appreciates your patience during these necessary improvement works.

These works are jointly funded by Cairns Regional Council and the Department of Transport and Main Roads Passenger Transport Accessible Infrastructure Program (PTAIP).
