The road will be closed to all vehicles again from Monday 2 November until Friday 6 November 2020, reopening on Saturday 7 November 2020.

The following reseal works are programmed to be undertaken on Lake Morris Road from Thursday, 15 October 2020, weather permitting.

Type of work: Road pavement reseal for the entire length of the roadway, commencing from Copperlode Dam end.

Approximately duration: 1 week to complete - 7.00am to 6.00pm (weather permitting) - weekdays only, no weekend works.

For the safety of motorists and cyclists, these works will require the temporary road closure of Lake Morris Road, from Campbell’s lookout to the Copperlode Dam entrance gate.

Traffic management will be in place to allow essential worker access however delays are expected.

Cyclist and pedestrian access will not be available beyond Campbell’s lookout during this period.

When works progress below Campbell’s lookout, traffic will be managed under traffic control.

Please observe and obey traffic controllers and signs advising the changes to normal traffic conditions.

Council appreciates your patience and cooperation during this period.

Loose stones and soft bitumen can be an annoyance after the seal has been placed, however this is an important part of the reseal process. It allows the traffic movement to roll the loose stones in as the bitumen hardens.
