Due to unforeseen delays in the project, the road closure on Hunt Street has been extended until the end of November 2020. Nearby residents will be advised.

As part of Council’s ongoing sewerage infrastructure upgrade program, an existing sewage pump station on Birch Street will be replaced with a new sewage pump station (SPS T2A)  in Hunt Street, Manunda. The relocation will address current safety issues, operational requirements and the required future customer service levels.

Works will commence in July 2020 and are expected to be completed by December 2020, subject to favourable weather conditions.

Construction noise and some dust associated with the work may be experienced during working hours but will be kept to a minimum where possible. To ensure public safety, sections of Hunt Street and Birch Street will be closed for a period of approximately eight weeks from 30 July 2020.

Working hours will typically be between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday, and 7am to 4pm on Saturday. Any afterhours work being undertaken will be on an “as required” basis and nearby residents and/or businesses will be advised.
