Project Manager: Dr Lynne Powell
Lynne has worked with CRC for 10 years and oversees Council’s water quality monitoring program across six wastewater treatment plants. In her role with the Smart Catchments study Lynne leads the project team and shares her passion for healthy waterways, strong communities and science education.
Senior Technical Officer: Juergen (Baly) Zier
Having previously worked in ocean instrumentation in the Tropics and the Arctic, Baly brings unique expertise, extensive experience and a passion for nature and technology to his role in the study, where he is assisting in the design and installation of storm water monitoring equipment on Saltwater Creek.
IT Technical Consultant: Heath Anderson
Having worked with Council for over 20 years in IT operations, Heath is supporting the Smart Catchments project and team, advising on IT networking and power UPS design for the gauging station and sensors.
Internet of Things Cadet Engineer: Cameron Gauci
While a Cadet Engineer with Council assisting in the development and delivery of the technical architecture and end user tools for the Smart Catchments project, Cam is also completing a Bachelor of Engineering: Electronics and Internet of Things at JCU.
Communications Officer: Helen Cook
Helen supports the Smart Catchments team identify and engage with its key stakeholders and audiences and communicate the project's progress online.
