Fri 24 May - Wed 12 Jun
LAUNCH: 6pm, Saturday 25 May
Cattana Wetlands have local, national and international importance for birds, resident and migratory. Much inspiration can be gathered from both the avian inhabitants and the environmental perspective.
Internationally recognized artist, Pete Marshall specialises in bird art and has travelled to remote and wild places around the world, researching material for her work. She has just completed a nine-month residency with Tanks Arts Centre, documenting the bird life of Cattana Wetlands.
Through field trips, workshops and countless hours in her studio, Pete and her students have produced a body of work which documents and celebrates the birdlife of this precious sanctuary.
As part of the residency, Pete held two specialised art workshops on 2 & 9 June 2019.
