Expressions of Interest NOW Open!

Join a group of creative storytellers to produce an authentic personal narrative for the screen. Over two weeks, you’ll make a short film about a moment from the past that that has impacted who you are now. If you’re interested in how to build story and emotion, this is an opportunity to immerse yourself in a creative process that will take your skills to the Next Level.

Local Media Producer, Alex Smee, will support you to experiment with alternative narrative styles, and professional Filmmaker and Screenwriter, Jan Cattoni, will share the latest industry practices used to embrace and build authentic story foundations. Through collaborative edit sessions, you’ll use these skills to open up new story possibilities.

We’ll be getting busy and experimental so bring your camera, charge your imagination and be ready to take some creative chances. All films are invited to enter Understory Film Festival with applications now open on FilmFreeway.

Places are limited. 

This workshop runs across two weekends. Participants must be available and commit to attending both weekend sessions: 18–19 July and 25–26 July.
