Artist in residence, Mark Tweedie, is a Perth-based visual artist. His work is characterised by themes of memory, connection to place, and childhood. Mark’s paintings are autobiographical, whilst presenting universal themes articulating the human condition.
Join Mark for a for an Expressive Portraits Workshop at Botanic Gardens Visitor Centre.
Be guided through the process of building a face with a series of acrylic-based gestural techniques, including glazing and palette knife techniques. Participants are encouraged to explore an expressive and loose approach to portraiture and step outside of their comfort zone. Suitable for all skills levels.
