The northern park of the Yorkeys Knob foreshore has a small sandy cove with a backdrop of rocks. This area is popular for weddings and can accommodate 500 people.

Public toilets are near this area.

"Yorkeys Knob" was named after George Lawson who had a beche-de-mer fishing station on Green Island in the 19th century.  His nick name was Yorkey as he was originally from Yorkshire.
