Council operates regular markets across the city, giving local businesses an opportunity to showcase their wares while providing a recreational activity for residents and visitors alike.

Check out Cairns Markets on Facebook for real time updates, info and photos!

We've also put together a handy list of local markets ( PDF, 0.19 MB ) covering the Cairns, Douglas, Mareeba, Tablelands, Yarrabah and and Cassowary Coast council areas. While we endeavour to provide accurate and up to date information, we recommend you check with the relevant market coordinator for any updates.

Many of our markets are suspended over the wet season and will "reopen" in April.

The Cairns Esplanade market continues on Saturdays throughout the year and the Cruise Liner markets will continue to be held when a ship is at dock.

Stallholders

You can apply to be a market stallholder by using our online market stall application form. For a printable version of the form, please email cityvenues@cairns.qld.gov.au. Stallholder applications take 10 business days to process.
